Your Instructor
Our women's program is led by Professor Melissa Regis, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and co-founder of Kioto BJJ South Shore. She is known for being patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in every student who steps on the mat.
Alongside Professor Milton Regis, Melissa has helped women across Long Island discover how capable and strong they really are. You will never feel out of place here. You will feel like part of the family.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is built on leverage and technique, not size or strength, which makes it one of the best things a woman can learn.
Learn to stay calm and in control against a bigger, stronger opponent.
Carry the calm that comes from knowing you can handle yourself.
A real workout that builds strength, mobility, and endurance.
Train with women who cheer you on every single class.
You do not need any background in martial arts or fitness. Just wear comfortable athletic clothes and bring water. Melissa and the team will walk you through everything, step by step, in a space that is safe and judgment-free.
Step by Step
The strength you build here goes way past the mat. It shows up in how you carry yourself at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
