Islip is the seat of the Town of Islip, the same town our Oakdale academy calls home. Its roots run back to 1683, when William Nicoll purchased the land that became Islip and many of its neighboring hamlets. Today Main Street still anchors the community, with its historic churches, the Islip Art Museum and Brookwood Hall nearby, and the Seatuck refuge and Great South Bay shoreline just to the south.
That deep sense of place makes Islip a natural home for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
