Grand Master

Francisco Mansor

One of the most respected figures in the sport, Grand Master Francisco Mansor (also spelled Mansur) is a Jiu-Jitsu red belt, 9th degree, who earned his instructor's degree directly from the late Master Hélio Gracie.

In 1965 he founded the Kioto academy, one of the most traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in the world and a team known for its deep roots in the self-defense side of the art. His academy in Rio de Janeiro became one of the largest Jiu-Jitsu programs for young students anywhere in Brazil.

One of only six men outside the Gracie family to receive his rank directly from Hélio Gracie.

We are very proud to call Kioto our family. Our children have attended for years and absolutely love it. They learn self-defense, discipline, and self-control while still having fun. Professor Milton and Melissa create the perfect balance in every class.

My son has trained here for three years and we hope he continues for a lifetime. The instructors are supportive and dedicated, and they make you part of their family. They care about each kid's development on an individual and group level, which is so rare to find.

Best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu place on Long Island. Milton and Melissa are the kindest, most patient, and caring trainers.

Would highly recommend. Very family oriented, and my children enjoy learning Jitsu as much as going.
